Football
Clonduff Senior Footballers had a promising start to their season when they drew 1-8 with Ballinascreen following a long bus journey from the foothills of the Mournes to the foothills of the Sperrins for their opener in the Ulster Club League on Sunday 7th February. It was a good Clonduff Day - the bus was so full of players that some of the mentors had to travel by car, as did quite a number of supporters whom the players wish to thank. Following the game soup was available for all, including spectators. The team bus and many of those travelling by car stopped off in Maghera for a meal on the way home.
Team and scorers: Gary Haughian, John McPolin, Rory Grant, James Killen (debutant), Gary McDonald, Jamie Fegan, Shane O'Hagan (0-1), Arthur McConville (0-2), Eamonn O'Reilly, Paul McPolin (0-1), Patrick McGreevy, Darren O'Hagan (1-1), Finbarr McConville (0-1), Jason Brown, John Fegan (0-2).

Juvenile Football
Clonduff boys were again to the fore when St Colman's College took on St Pat's Armagh in the quarter final of the MacCrory Cup under lights in Pairc Esler last Friday night. Two sets of brothers Paul and Rory Lively, and Shane and Tony McGreevy started the game with five other Clonduff boys among the subs - John McAleavey, Darragh Sherry, Karl O'Hagan, Patrick Matthews, Ché Curran.

Language and Culture
Scór Sinsear
It was another good Clonduff occasion in the Repechage (Qualifier) held in Mayobridge on Sunday 7th February. The participants placed second and third in the each of the previous two rounds came together to compete for the two remaining places in the South Down Finals. Such was the standard that many County Finals in previous years would have been hard pressed to match it! The Céilí Dancers, Novelty Act, Quiz and Recitation (Sean Downey) all made it through to join the two Set Dancing teams, Ballad Group and Solo Singing (Colleen Walls) on stage in Saval on Sunday 21st February - a representative in seven of the eight competitions with a double up in Set Dancing! Clonduff says a big THANK YOU to all who participated and to those who helped organise and prepare the various acts.
Tráth na gCeist Gaeilge 2010
Oifigeach Chultúrtha an Dúin organised their first ever County Table Quiz on Wednesday 3rd February 2010, held in Clonduff Clubrooms. Unfortunately there wasn't a great turnout - but such things have to start somewhere! Questions were set and asked, as Gaeilge, by the new Language and Cultural Officer, Ryan Doyle. Clonduff entered two teams which finished 2nd and 3rd (Mayobridge were the winners), to qualify for the Ulster round to be held in Eglish, Co Tyrone on Friday 12th February. The two Clonduff teams were (Team 1) Brian Canavan, Ciara McKeown, Marie Walls and Anita Brannigan. (Team 2) Niamh Murray, Mary Catherine Morgan, Plunkett McConville, and Kevin McShane;
Unfortunately Team 2 is not available to travel to Eglish on Friday night so their place is being taken by the fourth placed team Glasdrumman who are providing the transport (via mini bus) for the three Down teams. It will be a good night out and thank you.

Handball
Having won their respective County titles, the Clonduff Juveniles will play in the Ulster Championships at St Paul's Belfast on Sunday 21st February at 10.30 am
U14 Singles Shane Milligan
U16 Doubles Conor Brown and Ryan Brannigan
Brothers Colin and Paul Shields successfully teamed up last Wednesday night in the Ulster Junior Handball Doubles quarter final. It was a hard-fought victory which went to the third game. Well done boys and good luck in the semi final.
