Down GAA has laid the foundations for its future stars as Campa Chormaic has been formed in the county to help young children develop their Gaelic skills and the Irish language. The project is aimed at 10-16-year-olds and Down football captain launched Campa Chormaic An Dun at St Malachy's High School, Castlewellan this week. The camp will run from Monday July 13th to Friday July 17th and Gordon was proud to open the cam which is in honour of the late Cormac McAnallen. "I played against Cormac on a couple of occasions and he was a formidable opponent. As a teacher, I appreciate the value of an event such as this to promote Gaelic games among the youth.
