Warrenpoint 1-12 Annaclone 1-9 Warrenpoint gained promotion back up to top flight league status in the county with a three-point triumph over Annaclone last Friday evening at Pairc Esler. Ryan Mallon got the winners off to an ideal start in the game with an early goal, which helped his side push into a 1-5 to 0-2 lead, but by the break the both sides were level on 1-7 each, after John Gegan had netted Annclone back into the game. Both teams were tit-for-tat upon the game's resumption, but in the third quarter Warrenpoint broke clear with Ross McGarry and Gary Boyle lashed over the points that sees them completing in the top section next year in the Mourne County.
