At the Reserve Gaelic in Mayobridge, An Ríocht lost on a 7-9 to 0-10 score.

At the u12 Gaelic v Warrenpoint, An Ríocht won 2-13 to 2-4.

At the u14 Gaelic in Atticall, An Ríocht went down 1-7 to 7-7.

At the u16 Camogie challenge An Ríocht v Longstone, An Ríocht suffered a defeat.

The Senior Gaelic season got underway with a draw in Saval. An Ríocht started slowly and looked in trouble two five down after a quarter hour but battled back to lead eight seven at the break. An exchange of goals ten minutes into the restart kept things tight before Saval hit three in quick succession to take a commanding lead only for An Ríocht to fight right to the last kick with which we earned a deserved share of the spoils. Lots to work on but plenty of positives to build on like the battling qualities displayed and an attractive long passing style of play which augurs well going forward if we can ensure consistency of performance.

The u16 Gaelic in Mayobridge was called off due to a water-logged pitch.

An Ríocht won the thirtieth annual Paul Farrell Memorial Cup u14 Gaelic seven-a-side tournament after matches with Atticall, Roche Emmets, Clonduff, Skryne, Longstone and Burren in the final. Atticall beat Longstone in the Shield final. Thanks to the 13 teams from 4 counties for taking part and to all the volunteers who helped before, during and after the event. An Ríocht reached the cup final against Burren and after an excellent game that went to extra time An Ríocht lifted the Cup. All the boys put in a great team performance throughout the day playing some excellent football.

Team: Oran McAleenan, Jack McDonald, Zack Curran, Darragh McAlinden, Miceal Harper, Conor McConville, Cameron Gribben, Jayden White, Oisin Davies, Deagen Cordell, Daniel Speers, Luke Quinn, Luke Rafferty, Shea Rafferty, Ethen Finnegan, Paul O’Rourke, Conor Kelly, Micheal Shiels.

At the u12 Camogie Blitz in Ballygalget, An Ríocht only got one group game but stayed behind to play several friendlies. Thanks to the mentors who gave up their Saturday to take the girls.

Anne attended the Finance & Insurance seminar in Newcastle.
