Tyrone have paid a classy tribute to recently-retired Donegal sharp-shooter Colm McFadden.

The St Michaels clubman is Donegal's all-time highest scorer and has also made a record number of appearances for Tyrone's neighbours and arch rivals. Indeed, the Red Hands were often on the receiving end but that hasn't stopped them from singing his praises on their Facebook page:

"A True Gaelic Giant Steps Down

Colm McFadden's decision to call it a day for Donegal after a record 170 games and a phenomenal 25 goals and 434 points robs us all of one of the great inter-County GAA presences. In Tyrone we probably first noticed him with his 1-7 against us in the 2004 Ulster Semi-Final and more recently he was our 'assassin' with crucial, match-deciding Championship goals against us in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

A simply wonderful player and a master-craftsman who won everything a Senior inter-County footballer can win. Good luck with what comes next Colm. Beir bua!"
