Mark McHugh says his Donegal team-mate Michael Murphy is the best footballer in Ireland.

The 2012 All-Ireland winning captain delivered a commanding performance against Armagh on Sunday and McHugh agrees that there's nobody better in the game right now.

"There is probably no question about that. He is such a talent," the Kilcar clubman says in The Irish Daily Mirror. "For a big man like that to perform week in, week out and have the fitness to sustain it, it's a credit to him.

"His place-kicking is absolutely phenomenal. That one just before half time, I was looking up at the screen and it was a monster kick. That is just down to work off the field.

"When he is not training, he is off kicking balls every night over in the field in Glenswilly and MacCumhaill Park. He's a billiant performer and he really stood up for us."
