Naomh Chonaill left angered

November 21, 2014

The Naomh Chonaill GAA club have been left angered over the length of time their appeal over the result of their SFC clash against Glenswilly is taking.

The club had their initial appeal turned down by the Donegal CCC, and they then went to the Ulster Council who left that the appeal was not in order.

However, when the matter was brought to Croke Park, the club were successful when it was stated that the Ulster Council were wrong to rule out a request to hear their appeal.

The Donegal championship is long over, but Naomh Chonaill are continuing with their fight, but club spokesman David Keltch told the Donegal Democrat that the matter has been drawn out far too long.

"We have got a provisional date for the hearing for November 27th, which is exactly three weeks from the Croke Park decision," pointed out Keltch.

"However, the date has not been confirmed, we even have looked for the hearing to be heard earlier, but we still have not received any word.

"At this stage the club are looking for an end to the affair and wish to be treated with dignity and respect, something we feel we have not been afforded by all parties involved so far."
