Doherty knows all about Omagh

Sunday's Ulster club SFC semi-final between St. Eunan's and Omagh St. Enda's will be a clash of two teams who are extremely familiar with each other, according to Eunan's defender Eamon Doherty.

"We've played them in a few friendlies, the clubs would be friendly enough," he revealed in the Irish News.

"We've played each other two or three times in recent years, so we know the danger they pose, they have some great players.

"I saw the highlights (of Omagh's game) against Crossmaglen, they're a great team - any team that beats Crossmaglen, they're really up for it.

"We haven't been able to beat Crossmaglen and we played them twice. We know the big players Omagh have, they're a serious outfit."

Facing their eighth championship match in as many weeks, Doherty admits tiredness - which was evident in the second half of last Sunday's win over Roslea - is a concern for the Donegal champions.

"It was a short turnaround after the county final, that was the main worry, how the boys would react after only a six-day turnaround, would they be fatigued?" the centre back added.

"The first half was good, I would say it hit us a bit in the second half. Legs were a bit heavy, maybe not legs but mentally - we started making small mistakes we wouldn't normally make.

"But we got over the line, it could have been a banana skin, it was all about getting a win."
