Brennan plays down derby clash

October 17, 2014

Ardara manager Adrian Brennan is adamant that he has no qualms who they face in the SFC quarterfinals.

A meeting with neighbours Naomh Conaill on Saturday afternoon faces the men from Ardara, but Brennan stressed to the Donegal Democrat that once you reach the quarterfinal, you have to be prepared to meet any side.

"When you make it into the quarterfinals, it doesn't really matter who you get in the draw," said Brennan. "When you are down to the last eight, there are no easy games but the fact that it is Naomh Conaill does add an extra edge to it alright.

"They have a lot of experience and a lot of quality right through the team. But we are looking forward to the challenge and we are going to give it our best shot. If we are good enough we will be in with a chance. It is championship football and in local derby games, anything can happen."
