Hurlers bid to avoid drop

April 13, 2012
Donegal hurlers face Sligo this weekend in the division 3A relegation play off.

It has been a disappointing campaign for the Ulster men, but they will take some heart from the fact that their only win came against Sunday's opponents.

Donegal manager Ray Durack knows that they face a tough task in Brewster Park, Enniskillen, but he is hoping a win can lift them ahead of the Nicky Rackard Cup.

"We are expecting a tough game," Durack told the Donegal Democrat. "There was only a point between us in O'Donnell Park, and Sligo like ourselves are also fighting for survival.

"But we see it as a good game in the build up to the championship and with the boys back we are a good bit stronger than when we played them earlier and we are going all out to stay up."
