Colm McFadden is not slow in sharing the praise with his Donegal team-mates.
The St Michael's clubman knocked over five points as the Ulster champions preserved their top-flight status with a three-point victory over Armagh at Ballybofey on Sunday.
It was a decisive contribution but McFadden says the whole team - missing injured trio Michael Murphy, Christy Toye and Neil McGee - deserve credit for their battling qualities. He won't hog the limelight:
"That's not what we are about. The whole team is based on the team ethic," he tells The Irish News.
"You could not ask for a worse start on the frees but I just kept plugging away. I kept pushing away and was glad it went right in the end-up.
"Armagh were well ahead of us and Michael Stevenson hit some great frees.
"He was very sharp and the wind turned against us in the second half and they opened up a three-point lead, so I was a bit concerned. We had to dig deep then."
