HL 3A: Fingal leave it late

April 02, 2012
An injury time goal by Niall Feeney earned Fingal a 2-19 to 4-12 win over Donegal.

The Ulster side looked to have been heading for a much needed moral boosting win against the Dublin outfit until Feeney popped up from defence to slot the ball home.

Fingal started well and JM Sheridan was to the fore once again from frees as he helped the side take a four-point lead before Graham Dillon scored the opening goal of the game after 15 minutes.

However, Donegal battled back and they reduced the gap to just two points at the break, 1-10 to 1-8.

A goal by Danny Cullen just after half time put Donegal in front and then Ronan McDermott fired in two goals to put them in the driving seat.

But, back came Fingal and they kept chipping away at Donegal's lead before Feeney became the unlikely hero of the afternoon.
