HL 3A / 3B round-up: Longford hurlers unable to field
April 01, 2012
The big story in the lower divisions today was the inability of Longford to field a team.
The 3B match between Longford and Fermanagh, which was scheduled to go ahead at Brewster Park at 12:30, was called off, with the midlanders apparently unable to field a team. If this is the case, the Ernesmen - who are already through to the divisional final - will get the two points.
The days' other match in 3B resulted in a 2-20 to 2-10 victory for Warwickshire over Leitrim at Ballinamore. Fermanagh and Warwickshire will contest the 3B final.
Meanwhile, the Division 3A final will be between Monaghan and Fingal, who beat Sligo (4-18 to 2-9) and Donegal (2-19 to 4-12) at Inniskeen and Swords respectively today. Elsewhere in the same division, Louth beat Tyrone by 0-24 to 0-16 at Dowdallshill.
