Eight week lay off for Murphy

Donegal's Michael Murphy
Donegal selector Rory Gallagher has revealed that Michael Murphy will be out for eight weeks.
Murphy damaged his lateral knee ligaments during last weekend's defeat to Dublin, but the full extent to the injury was not known until Monday.
The Donegal skipper then underwent surgery to repair the damage and Gallagher revealed that the injury was not as bad as initially feared.
"We are talking about eight weeks," Gallagher told Gaelic Life. "Six to eight weeks. As knee injuries go, thankfully it's not the worst.
"The big thing is the cruciate. It's minor in comparison. You don't need an operation for it; just get a programme to rebuild the knee. The scope is just to see if there was any other damage around the area."
