Glenswilly appoint McFadden

January 18, 2012
County champions Glenswilly have appointed Manus McFadden as their manager for the 2012 campaign.

McFadden is a lifelong clubman and steps into the breach after last year's joint managers Gary McDaid and John McGinley stood down.

And the former player admits that he has a task on his hands to emulate last year's championship winning performances.

"It is a hot seat alright, the boys Gary (McDaid) and John (McGinley) done a very good job and have set a very high standard by winning the championship for the first time," the new boss told the Donegal Democrat.

"But it is a challenge I'm looking forward to and it is now a matter of putting a management team in place. I hope to have a backroom team in place in the next week or so. My only concern now is about having everybody for the new season as the word is that a number of players are thinking about emigrating."
