Donegal manager Jim McGuinness has dampened expectations that Kevin Cassidy could return to the fold.

Cassidy stated in a television interview last weekend that he could well feature for Donegal again in the future, but McGuinness was not offering an olive branch to the former All-Star when asked about his former player's comments.

"Last year was a fantastic year but it is in the past now and it is time to draw a line under 2011 and everything happened in it and move on," McGuinness stressed to the Donegal Democrat.

"We need to focus on 2012 and build on all that was achieved in 2011." Tweet
