Donegal to hit the ground running

Donegal manager Jim McGuinness feels that a good start to the competitive campaign is imperative.
McGuinness believes that developing a winning mentality from early in the year should stand to the side when it comes to the business end of the championship.
Donegal kick off their season this Sunday when they take on UUJ in the Dr McKenna Cup and although McGuinness will be without a number of key players, he has urged those involved to give it their all.
"We would like to do as well as well as we can in the McKenna Cup and make the knockout stages at least; the extra competitive game would be the perfect preparation as we head into the National League which is only four weeks away from the weekend," McGuinness explained to the Donegal Democrat.
