Cassidy axing "a little extreme" - McShea
December 19, 2011

Donegal's Kevin Cassidy
Donegal legend Pauric McShea feels Jim McGuinness may have acted a little extreme in his decision to drop Kevin Cassidy from his squad.
McShea, who was full-back and captain when Donegal captured the Ulster SFC title back in 1972, believes that the Tir Chonaill boss took drastic action by axing the All Star defender from his squad over comments he had made in a book.
"I think the action take by Jim was a little extreme," McShea stated.
"Kevin was probably a little naïve in his comments but I don't think they should have led to him being discarded."
