Roundup
Last week's underage finals at Fodden produced two exciting games, with Burt securing a three point win over a spirited Malin side, who just failed to recover from a poor start in the U14B final.  The U16A game between Buncrana and Urris was a cracking game, producing a total of seven goals and loads of excellent scores. In the end, Buncrana emerged victorious by a three point margin as Urris staged a late comeback but in the end ran out of time. Saturday also saw the U10 finals day in Carndonagh, and feast of football was enjoyed by all eight clubs which was superbly organised by the home clubs. In the minor league on Friday night Carndonagh got the better of Buncrana, which now means there is a three way play off to determine who will join Malin in the minor final.
At senior level over the weekend, there were wins for Burt over Robert Emmets in their Junior A Championship play off game and also wins for Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin and Naomh Colmcille in their quarter final first leg games. In the Junior B Championship Burt just missed out on a double when their reserves lost out to Robert Emmets.
In division two of the all county leagues Malin moved clear at the top yet again, with a good victory away to Killybegs, while in division three Carndonagh took a giant step away from relegation with a local derby win over Moville who still look destined to make the drop down again to division three. Urris followed up their championship success last week, with a good home win over Na Rossa which keeps them just above the relegation zone also. In hurling Buncrana enjoyed their first victory of the season with a big win over Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon.

U12 Go Games Finals Day in Muff
Burt, Buncrana, Carndonagh, Malin, Moville, Naomh Padraig, Urris and Naomh Colmcille are all to field 2 teams on the day. This brings to an end the u12 season which began back in April and was played this season under the Go Games rules.
Junior A Championship Quarter Final 1st Leg:
Convoy   0-08
Naomh Pádraig  1-13

Naomh Pádraig travelled to Convoy on Saturday evening to take on the home side in the first leg of the Junior Championship Quarter Final.  Played in perfect conditions, the game turned out to be a much tighter affair compared to the league encounters between these sides.  Convoy opened the scoring with a free kick however Mark Duffy responded immediately for the visitors.  Naomh Pádraig then took the lead with an Oisin McColgan point. However Convoy battled hard and levelled matters with another free.  The remainder of the half was evenly fought as Aidan Lynch traded 3 scores with the home side to leave it 0-05 apiece at the break.  Naomh Pádraig started the second half strongly with two well-taken Declan McLaughlin points and a rare Enda McColgan effort however Convoy were always able to respond to stay in touch.
However the next score proved to be crucial. A Declan McLaughlin free couldn't make it over the bar and the Convoy keeper spilled his catch to the net to give Naomh Pádraig a 4-point lead.  Another unusual score followed for the visitors as Full Back Justin Gallagher made a rare foray into the opposition half to send over a fine score from wide on the right.  Naomh Pádraig went on the dominate the rest of the game and added further scores from Oisin McColgan, Barry Hegarty, Dermot Keaveney and Mark Duffy while Convoy could only muster one point in response to leave it Convoy 0-08 Naomh Pádraig 1-13 at the end.  Naomh Pádraig team and scorers: Christy Lynch, Laurence Lynch, Justin Gallagher (0-01), Enda McColgan (0-01), John McLaughlin, Raymond McLaughlin, Cathal McColgan, Charlie Molloy, Colm McColgan, Dermot Keaveney (0-01), Eunan Keaveney, Mark Duffy (0-02), Oisin McColgan (0-2), Aidan Lynch (0-03), Declan McLaughlin (1-02). Subs used: Barry Hegarty (0-01), Dermot McColgan, Gerard McColgan, Gary McKinney, and Michael Crowley.
U15 Development Squad
The Inishowen U15 Development Squad made the trip to the ground of Strabane Sigersons, at short notice on Saturday last to participate in a blitz organised by the Ulster Council where they were joined by teams from Donegal North, Donegal South, Cavan, Tyrone and Derry.
Three of the Inishowen players were also asked to play one half for the North Donegal team against Tyrone and Conor Harkin, Darragh McConway and Dara O Connor all showed very well sharing 3points between them out of a total of Donegal's 6 points.  The Inishowen squad, which contained many of the Colaisti Inis Eoghain panel took the field against Cavan North, playing 20 minutes each half in order to all to allow all the matches to take place on the day. Inishowen started brightly getting their first point after 2 minutes through Dara O Connor. Midfield domination allowed Adam Byrne to add another point on 3 minutes and O Connor added a further point from a free on 7 minutes to put Inishowen 3 points up.
The Inishowen defence was coping well with the Cavan scoring threat and midfield remained well on top throughout the first half. Inishowen were slightly unlucky not to have found the net on two separate occasions but Dara O Connor added another point before the half finished with Cavan getting their single score with the last kick of the first period.
The second half started with a bang, with Cavan scoring 1-01 inside the first 4 minutes, but Inishowen responded well and raised the white flag with a fine point from midfielder Seamus Houten before Cavan added another score. The Inishowen boys then scored 1-01 in a 2-minute period only for Cavan to hit back with another goal shortly afterwards. It was all one way traffic after this as the Inishowen boys proved much superior, scoring 1-03 through Conor Bradley, Conor Harkin and man of the match Dara O Connor who hit 1-06 of the sides total scores.
Inishowen: Kevin McLaughlin,  Ciaran O Connor,  Bruce Waldron, Stephen Doherty, Matthew Crampsey, Conor Bradley, Jason Doherty, Conor Harkin, Seamus Houten, Matthew Barber, Adam Byrne, Conor McCormick, Ryan Curran, Dean Kelly, Dara O Connor.
Subs: Neil McLaughlin for Dean Kelly, Mark Doherty for Jason Doherty,  Conor Brennan for Matthew Barber, Ryan Bradley for Adam Byrne, Conor Byrne for Stephen Doherty
Ranafast Cup

The squad had another good workout last Thursday night in Buncrana with 22 players attending and a few more excused due to hurling commitments with their clubs. Most of the squad also participated in an u16 blitz held in Strabane on Saturday.
They will meet again in Buncrana on Wednesday at 2.00 pm to prepare for a game against North Donegal and will also train on one other occasion this week. Everyone is very happy at how the squad is progressing and with only four weeks now to the first game, training is likely to intensify as well as playing a number of high profile challenge games.
