Funding blow for Donegal

The Donegal County Board received a blow during the week that the expected 2 million in funding that they were due to receive for the Centre of Excellence will be halved.

Delegates were furious that the reason being cited for the reduction in funding was that private information about the allocation was leaked to the press.

Chairman Sean Kelly came in for some criticism, but stressed that he believed that they would be getting the figure first mentioned at an Ulster council meeting.
