St. Marys GAA Club

Senior men
Saturday saw the season come to an end for the senior men with their defeat at the hands of Milford in the division four promotion playoff. On the day superb individual performances were given by young players John Doherty, David Shovelin and Packie Mailey. Another outstanding contributor was the more experienced campaigner John Anthony Mc Mullan who over the course of the season has been consistently performing at a high level (despite the high mileage on the clock!). Manager Joe Blake and the team can reflect on this season with a great deal of pride, whilst no doubt disappointed to come up short this year the performances bode well for another strong promotion push next year. The club wish to both congratulate and thank Joe Blake for his efforts as senior team manager this year.

Lotto
There was no winner of the jackpot this week. Billy Sweeney (Raphoe) and Helen Lafferty (Ballybofey) matched three counties and won 50 each. The winning counties were FH, MO, TE and TY. Next weeks jackpot is 4900. Tickets are available from any committee member at a cost of 2.

Schools Day
Approximately 130 children from six schools on the parish took part in a fun day on Wednesday last at the GAA pitch in Convoy. The boys and girls played in three matches in what was a great morning's fun. Paddy Hegarty and Mick Murphy were also in attendance. A great deal of thanks has to go to Conor Mc Dermott for organising the day and to everyone who assisted and helped out in any way on the day to make it a great success. Thanks also to the teachers and the schools for their effort.

Under 10's
Under 10 training continues on Saturday mornings form 11- 12. New members welcome.

Scor
Congratulations to Jack Blake, Emmet Patterson and Ronan Donnellan who were successful in the quiz event in the recent Scor competition. They now go on to represent the club in the county final.
