Updates from the Na Cealla Beaga, Naomh Adhamhnáin, Milford, Gaeil Fhanada, Naomh Pádraig, Letterkenny Gaels, St. Nauls, Gleann tSuili and Aodh Ruadh clubs. Na Cealla Beaga The clubs minor board A.G.M. takes place on Friday the 12th of December at 8pm in the new club rooms in Fintra. All parents and anyone interested in underage football in 2009 are asked to attend. The club are holding a Monster Bingo on Saturday the 6th of December at 8:30pm in the Vocational School Gym with 6000 euro of prize money on offer. Bingo book prices on the night will be 20 euro for a single book and 30 euro for a double book. The numbers drawn in this weeks galotto were 2,8,10 and 11. Their was no jackpot winner. The 50 euro consolation prize went to Brid Mc Guinness, Killybegs and the 25 euro prize went to Olivia Broderick, Killybegs. Next weeks jackpot will be 2250 euro and sellers will be Paul Mc Cruddens team. Sellers for the weekend of the 13th will be Jimmy Whites team. Their was no winner of this weeks bingo jackpot. The consolation prize went to Noreen Kieran, Kingscourt, Co Cavan. Next weeks jackpot will be 1750 euro on 49 calls. Naomh Adhamhnáin Club history was made last Sunday as the St. Eunans senior side won back to back League and Championship doubles for the first time ever.  While it may not have been the sharpest performance of the year, they did enough to hold off the Glenties challenge to win by 1-09 to 1-07.  The lads can now have a well-earned rest and look forward to continued success next year. . Well done to the squad and management on a fantastic effort all year. This weekend sees the U21s play their Championship semi-final against title holders Glenties in McCumhaill Park. The game throws-in at 2pm on Sunday (E.T. if required). The Div 3 League final takes place in O'Donnell Park this Sunday at 2pm. Anyone available to steward at this game is asked to come out at 1:30pm. An exhibition coaching session took place in Croke Park last Saturday as part of the GAA National Coaching conference. Players from the St. Eunans Senior and Minor squads were put through their paces in a session coordinated by Michael McGeehin. Over 750 delegates attended the conference and the entire session was shown live on RTE's website. It was a hugely enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone to get this unique run out in Croke Park. There will be an executive meeting next Monday at 7:30pm in the clubhouse followed by a General Club meeting at 8:30pm. The AGM date has been set for January 12th. Nomination forms are in the post this week and completed forms must be returned to Paddy Mullen by December 22nd or before. The club has launched its "Friends of St. Eunans GAA" fundraising. Further information is available on the brochure or from any club officer. BORD NA nÓG: Minor Board Presentation night takes place in the Mt. Errigal Hotel on Dec 10th at 6:30pm. This presentation is for teams in the U12 to U16 age groups. The Minor Board AGM will take place on December 16th. Nomination forms are included with the Senior Board forms and they must be returned on or before this Friday 5th December. Indoor hurling continues for 4th to 6th classes on Wednesday in Community Centre, 7:15 to 8:15pm. Information has been sent to schools on schedule. Also for 1st to 3rd classes on Friday in LYIT sports hall, 6:30 to 7:45pm. In a change to earlier notice all 1st to 3rd class players are welcome to come along each Friday to LYIT (not every second week as previously stated). Gaeil Fhanada Well done to all the award winners at the Bord na n?ìg Presentation night held last week. Thanks to the Committee for a most successful evening, to the Fanad Lodge for delicious food, the Rosnakill Hall Committee for the use of the premises, to Francis diver for photography ¬?and to County Player Patrick McConigley who made the presentations. Bord na n?ìg hold their AGM this Thursday 4th Deccemer in Rosnakill at 7.00. All parents are asked to be in attendance. Lotto: No Jackpot winner last week. Naomh Pádraig GAA The numbers drawn in this weeks lotto draw were 1, 5, 2, 6, 7, 4 and 3. The club would like to thank everyone who assisted in organising the very successful Bazaar held in the clubhouse at the weekend and to everyone who attended. The club was represented at the county Scór final last weekend in Glenties by Rachel McLaughlin who performed extremely well on the night however unfortunately was not placed in the end. Rachel was one of the younger participants on the night so hopefully she will be back in the finals again in the future. The Committee Christmas night out originally set for Friday 12th Dec will now take place this Friday 5th in the Ture Inn. The underage presentation will take place in the clubhouse on Sunday 14th December at 4pm. Full details in next week's notes. In a well attended meeting the Club reflected on their first season in the new Páirc na nGael, the continued progress of Hurling and the overall good work ongoing at underage level.The club are hoping to progress the next phase of development in 2009. All new members are welcome.The Indoor training for underage football and hurling is now in full swing in the Community Centre with football on Tuesdays from 7-8pm and Hurling on Thursdays from 7-8pm. All young players interested in playing Gaelic or Hurling should come along on the night and enrol for the Winter season.  Parents are also asked to come along and assist the coaches. The Annual underage Christmas raffle will take place on Sunday the 14th December. Tickets will be sold at the Courtyard shopping centre on Saturday the 13th December. Tickets will also be available from the club executive. The Annual Bag packing at Tesco's will take place on weekending the 7th December. Volunteers are requested for Friday evening and Saturday for a few hours.All Senior players should note that the new Management team will be in touch with them in the coming days and a meeting of all Senior players will take place on Friday night the 12th December. Lotto Results: W/End 30th November   Nos drawn were 4,5,7,10. The club minor board AGM was held on Monday night last with a very disappointing attendance, if this is an indication of the level of interest that parents have in their children's sporting life, it does not send out a very strong message of support. All outgoing managers together with minor board officers gave their reports of the year's activities with most continuing in roles within the club for the coming year in spite of the lack of support shown by parents. 2009 Committee and Managers are as follows; Chairman - Denis McDaid. Vice Chairman - John Gallagher, Secretary - Mary Carr, Assistant Secretary - Susan Rose. Regional Minor Board Delegate - Joseph Brennan, Sub-delegate - Patrick Breslin. Under 10 Manager - John Gallagher, Under 12 Manager - Deferred to January meeting, Under 14 Manager - Patrick McGroarty, Under 16 Manager - Paul Griffin, Minor Manager - deferred to January meeting. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The senior AGM is fixed for Monday 15th December at 8pm in the clubrooms. Nominations are now closed for this year. All those nominated will be contacted prior to the meeting. Since this meeting decides who will be running affairs of the club for an entire year it is very important that anyone who wishes to have an input attends. SLOTTO There was no winner of last weekend's slotto jackpot. Winner of 80 euro for nearest to correct sequence was Aidan Kennedy, Port. Sequence drawn was 6-5-4-3-2-7 & 1. This weekend's jackpot will be 650 euro. Gleann tSuili An under age meeting will be held in the club house on this Friday 5th of December at 7pm sharp. All parents of under age players, managers of last years teams, nominated managers for the coming season or anyone with an interest in promoting under age football at the club should attend this important meeting. Circuit Training for men and women with Sandra Devine has now started in the hall on Wednesday nights from 7pm to 8pm sharp. This is a great work out and is priced at only ?7 per class. The gym is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 to 8 p.m. for use by lady members only. Card playing is now up and running again on Wednesday nights at 8pm in the clubhouse and those interested in playing 25 are very welcome to come along. The club would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped out in any way during the year and in particular those who sold lotto tickets and helped fundraise for the club. Aodh Ruadh ~ BINGO ~ There is a pre-Christmas Special Bingo in the Abbey Centre Ballyshannon this Friday 5th December at 9pm sharp. A prize fund of Eu2,500 must go on the night. House in the final game of the night will see you going home with a cool Eu700, which would sort out a few presents! There are 11 games in all and prices for books are as follows: A double book is Eu15, a double double book is Eu25 and a single book is Eu8. ~ DINNER DANCE ~ The club dinner dance took place last Saturday, 29th November, in Dorrian's Hotel. There was a good crowd in attendance and a very convivial atmosphere prevailed. After a fine meal promptly served by the staff in Dorrian's the awards ceremony got under way. The recipients were: PJ Buggy, who was inaugurated into the Aodh Ruadh Hall of Fame; Club person of the year, Hurling stalwart John Rooney; Senior player of the year, Stephen Ward; Reserve team player of the year, Barry Travers; Third team player of the year, Brian Dorrian, with the third team were also receiving their medals for winning the Division Four title on the night. There was a Special hurling award for Billy Finn who continues to recuperate at St John's hospital in Sligo, all visitors welcome; Ladies player of the year, Sarah Patton; Special Appreciation Award, out-going Bord na n?ìg chairman, Jim Kane; and finally Young footballer of the year, Barry Leonard; Young hurler of the year, Stephen Ryan. There were also presentations made to managers of the senior team, Sylvester Maguire and Benjy Drummond, reserve team, Paul Kane and the Ladies team, Teddy Kane and PJ Patton. With the gongs handed out the night was topped off with music by John Meehan followed by DJ Mojo. An extended report and pictures from the night should be available on aodhruadh.org shortly. ~ HURLERS ~ The hurlers held their AGM last Tuesday with a good attendance. The following positions were filled: Chairman John Rooney; Assistant Chairman, Mark Sheerin; Secretary, Emma Gaughan; Assistant Secretary, Stephen Sheerin. The following managers were appointed: under 8, Eddie Lynch and Dennis Daly; under 10, Michael Ayres and Kevin McDermott; under 12, John Rooney; under 14, Peter Horan; under 16, Kevin Loughlin. The position of senior manager wasn't filled on the night. If anyone is interested please contact any committee member. There is an underage hurling presentation on this Saturday. Notes will be distributed during the week and it is hoped that all parents will attend this event and meet our very special guest any enquiries to John Rooney. ~ BORD NA N?ìG ~ A useful resource for anyone looking to attend coaching development courses in locations throughout Ireland is www.education.gaa.ie. The site is also an invaluable tool for coaches, parents and players looking for ideas. Access is free following a brief registration. Under 12 training continues this Friday night from 7pm to 8pm in the hall. Well done to all those who took part and remember to keep practicing your kick pass and core strength work. A special word of thanks to all the coaches who took part in helping the players. We all hope that this great work continues on throughout the year. Training for under 8s continues this Friday from 6-7pm. Well done to all who participated in last week's training, in particular congratulations to our players of the week: Cian for the under 5s; Donagh for the under 7s and Tiernan who scooped the award for the second week in a row for the under 8's. It was great to see so many new boys turn up and hopefully we can encourage even more young players to come up and train on a Friday night. Remember to practice kick passing this week! Once again many thanks to all the young coaches who turned up on the night and gave a hand with coaching young players. Anyone interested in coaching fundamental stage sport, not just football, is invited to attend and give a hand. Also remember this Friday is ,ÄòBring a Friend' night, so if you >have any friends who would like to start playing football get them up and spread the word! ~ LADIES ~ Congratulations to Sarah Patton who received Ladies Player of the Year at the annual club dinner dance last Saturday. She made an outstanding contribution to the team this year and the award was truly deserved. Under 10 girls continue training in the Mercy Hall on Wednesday nights. The session runs from 6-7pm and the cost is Eu2 per child. All are welcome. The new series of Underdogs continues on TG4 with our own Niamh Gallagher getting all the best lines. Catch all the drama and highlights on Thursdays at 9.30pm. ~ LOTTO ~ There was no winner of the Eu5,600 Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot last Sunday, 30th November.
