Naomh Adhamhnáin
Our Senior team bowed out of the Ulster Club Championship on Sunday against holders Crossmaglen Rangers. Our team and management put in a great effort all year but it was not our day. Valuable experience was gained however, and we can hopefully build on that next year. The season is not over yet as there is still the matter of a League final to be played. This game is scheduled for November 30th. Our Reserve team's season came to an end on Saturday when they played their last League game against Dungloe. Unfortunately they were unable to get the draw that was required and so the League title goes to Dungloe. Congratulations to Dungloe on taking that League title. Thanks to the Reserve team and management for their great efforts throughout the year and let's not forget that they did capture the Reserve Championship this season. The Juniors are set to play their Div4 League final in Donegal town on Sunday. That game throws-in at 2pm.
There is a double header in the O'Donnell park on Sunday (Div 1 semi-final and Div 2 final). Anyone available to steward is asked to come out at noon.
There will be a Night at the Races in the Glencar Inn this Friday Nov 21st. Horses and Jockeys can be bought for ?20. For further details contact P.J. Hoey, Brian Kelly or any club officer.
The club has launched its "Friends of St. Eunans GAA" fundraising. Further information is available on the brochure or from any club officer.
BORD NA nÓG:
It wasn't all doom and gloom last weekend as the U13 Div1 side overpowered Dungloe in the county semi-final. They now get a crack at last year's U12 winners Aodh Rua in the final. That final goes ahead on Sunday at 12:30pm in Donegal town.
St Eunans U10 hurlers won Section B of the Na Fianna Feile Perpetual Trophy in Dublin on Sunday. They beat Mount Sion of Waterford, Na Fianna of Dublin and Naas of Kildare in the final. The final was a highly competitive, fast paced and physical encounter with a goal in the last couple of minutes finally deciding the score for St. Eunans. Great thanks to Joe, Ray, Gordon, Paddy, Ruth, all the other coaches and the terrific parental support. Thanks also to the welcoming escort on our arrival in Letterkenny and our hosts Na Fianna. To win this level of inter-county hurling competition shows great promise for our team. The U16 Div1 hurling league final is expected to take place this weekend. Indoor hurling continues on Wednesday 7-8:15 (U12) in Community Centre and Friday 6-8 (U9) in LYIT Sports Hall. Relevant information has been circulated to schools.

Aodh Ruadh and Saint Eunan's will battle it out for two county titles in a double header Tir Chonaill Park, Donegal town this Sunday, 23rd November, NOT 23rd December as appeared in the club notes circulated previously. The first match sees our under 13s taking on their Letterkenny counterparts at 12.30pm for the county championship title. That will be followed by the Aodh Ruadh and Saint Eunan's third teams facing-off for the division four county title at 2pm. Needless to say this is a very big day for Ballyshannon Gaels so a massive show of green and white support from Ballyshannon is requested as our footballers bid to bring some silverware back to the club.
~ SENIOR FOOTBALL ~

The game is preceded by the under 13 county final at 12.30pm which also pairs Aodh Ruadh and Saint Eunan's. With the thirds bidding to make it back-to-back league titles they deserve a massive show of support from the town. Please come out and get behind the team.
~ BORD NA N?ìG ~
The under 13s needed to call on all their reserves of guts and skill to overcome a determined Termon outfit in the county semi-final at Tir Chonaill park last Saturday. Ballyshannon got off to an awful start as Termon raced into a nine point lead early in the first half. Nevertheless Aodh Ruadh held their nerve and pulled back to within a point of the north Donegal outfit by the break with the scores at 2-8 to 4-3. The fight back was primarily attributable to the driving runs and scoring of Pauric Patton which hauled Aodh Ruadh back into the game. David McGurrin and Jamie McDonald were also instrumental in keeping Ballyshannon in touch with their economical shooting. Michael McNeely played some great football throughout the match and his terrier like tackling did much to disrupt Termon's attacking momentum. Johnny Gethins also excelled when he was pulled from his usual half forward berth to half back. Eamon McGrath played with considerable confidence and showed great relish as the game entered its decisive last ten minutes. Paddy Gillespie was unstinting and energetic throughout and gave a great performance in a game where the back line faced many periods of sustained Termon pressure. That pressure was greatest as the game entered its closing stages, but Aodh Ruadh were the side that was able to work the closing scores to win the game on a scoreline of 4-17 to 6-6.
AODH RUADH: Conor Gilmartin; Matthew Maguire, Eamon McGrath, Paddy Gillespie; Matthew Gettins, Darren Gethins, Michael McNeely; Niall Harley, James Kelly (0-1); Johnny Gethins (0-2), Colm Kelly (0-1), Patrick Dixon; Jamie McDonald (1-2), David McGurrin (1-7), Pauric Patton (2-4).
TERMON: Keelan Doherty; Joe McCosker, Kevin Murray, Killian McConaghey; Alan Dugra, Keelan Mellett, Damian Kearns; Aidan Sweeney (1-2), Michael Kelly (1-0); Ricky Gallagher (1-0), Shane Callaghan (1-0), Fintan O'Flynn (0-1); Keelan McDaid (0-1), Dara McDaid (0-2), Joe Callaghan (2-0).
The final against Saint Eunan's takes place at 12.30pm on Sunday, 23rd December at Tir Chonaill park, Donegal town. It is the opening game in double header with the Division 4 league final which also features Aodh Ruadh and Saint Eunan's. Needless to say this is a very big day for Ballyshannon Gaels so a massive show of green and white support from Ballyshannon is requested as our footballers bid to bring some silverware back to the club.
