U15 Football Championship
Our U15 panel defeated Milford on Saturday last to claim the Championship title. Played in Convoy on Saturday a great second half performance by everyone on the team secured a much deserved victory on a score-line of 3-12 to 2-8. This bunch of players and their management put in a lot hard work from early on in the year and it was a result that matched their effort. Well to done Gary, Paddy, Shane, Paraic and John and all the players on capturing another title for the club.
U16 Hurling.
Following on from our U15 footballers on Saturday our U16 Hurlers weren't to be outdone on Sunday when they captured the U16 Championship against Burt. Played at MacCumahill Park the boys hungry for the win and at the final whistle were comprehensive in victory. A special mention to the Burt players who despite the score-line battled for every ball to the very end. This group of players have been training hard from February and after such a long hard season they were rewarded with another title to go along with the Minor Championship won earlier in the year. Well done and thanks to Marcel, Andrew, Tony and Gerry and all the players for all their hard work. Thanks to Ronan McGuigan and Gerry Gallinagh for their sponsorship for the final.
