Last Wednesday night, the U12s hosted Slaughtneil in the last group game for qualification into the A league. With both teams having already qualified for the A league, this match was not about points, it was about pride. Both teams have been unbeaten in the qualification and as anticipated this match was extremely tight and any of the two teams could have won it. Glens second half display improved to some extent and scored points from Connor Carville, Danny Tallon and another one from Ciaran Mc Fall. Then one minute from full time Slaughtneil scored their first point of the half to leave the score Glen 0-05 V Slaughtneil 1-03. However Glens never die attitude paid of when after a goal mouth scramble, the ball was poked to the net by Danny Tallon, leaving the final score Glen 1-05 V Slaughtneil 1-03. Although the match was low scoring, it was due to some great defending from both teams and in particular for Glen; Conor Gallagher and Ryan McDonnell as well as a couple of great last minute high catches from Ciaran McCloy and Conor McDevitt. Best for Glen were Conor Gallagher and Ryan Mc Donnell. Final score Glen 1-05 Slaughtneil 1-03
