Slaughtneil 5-25

Swatragh 1-5

Slaughtneil claimed a first ever three-in-a-row of Derry SHC titles when they hammered neighbours Swatragh by 32 points at Owenbeg yesterday.

The champions led by 2-13 to 0-0 after 22 minutes and by 3-18 to 0-3 at the interval.

Swatragh were more competitive after the restart and pulled back a goal through Sean Francis Quinn. But the game was never a contest as the rampant Robert Emmett's maintained their push for back-to-back senior hurling and football crowns in the Oak Leaf County.
