Cassidy included in ref's panel

May 16, 2012
Bellaghy clubman Barry Cassidy is the only referee from the county to be included in the list of officials to oversee the All-Ireland football championship.

Cassidy, is in fact only one of four referees from Ulster that have been included in the list of 16 that will officiate at all this year's championship matches.

The Derry man is in his eleventh season as an inter-county referee and is regarded as one of the finest in the province.

His first outing will be as linesman for this weekend's Connacht championship clash between Roscommon and Galway.
