Exile test for hurlers
May 16, 2012
Derry hurlers will be looking to bounce back in the Christy Ring Cup when they take on London in this weekend's quarterfinal.
The Ulster side lost out to bogey team Wicklow last weekend and they now must regroup before Saturday's clash against the Exiles.
Derry will go in as favourites against London and playing at home will be a huge advantage for the Oakleafers, but manager Ger Rogan is taking nothing for granted.
"London have some quality hurlers. In this climate, you have boys away working over there from all over the place, so you don't know what you'll be up against," Rogan told the County Derry Post.
"It will be a tight game and they'll come here believing they can get a result. There's a semi final place up for grabs both teams want to get to a Christy Ring final, and it will be a serious test."
