Armagh earned their first win of their NHL Division 3A campaign yesterday after the edged out Ulster rivals Derry with a riveting second-half display.

A Fiachra Bradley goal had the Orchard men in control after 20 minutes as they led by two points at the interval, but Derry hit back early on in the second-half with four unanswered points.

A flicked goal from Cahal Carvill was just the response Armagh needed and it inspired them as they pucked six vital points afterwards.

To their credit, Derry never threw in the towel and when substitute Feilim Kelly struck their goal late on they were still in with a chance of the points, but Armagh done enough to keep them out in the end. Tweet
