Slaughtneil continue winning ways in Ulster
February 25, 2010
Slaughtneil picked up their third consecutive win of the Ulster Football League campaign last Sunday when they defeated Derry SFC champions Loup in a county derby at Emmet Park.
In a tight game, the hosts, who were without Patsy Bradley, had goals from Shane Kelly and Seamus Gillan to thank for a 2-8 to 1-9 win over their opponents.
In the intermediate league, former Derry Under 16 captain Rory Moore scored four points for Craigbane as they beat Urney by 0-12 to 0-6, while Moortown saw off an early scare from Ballerin to register a ten-point victory (0-20 to 1-7), in a game where Leigh Ferris pulled off some fantastic saves for the Derry men.
