Tyrone man up for Cross' challenge

November 27, 2008
Former Edendork and Tyrone player Brian McGuckin is looking forward to squaring up to Crossmaglen in Sunday's Ulster senior club championship final. The St Patricks, Dungannon schoolteacher has thus far had a dream debut season with Ballinderry Shamrocks, and he's looking forward to the provincial final: "I'm delighted at the way things have gone since I joined Ballinderry. To win a senior championship medal in my first season was special and I never thought I'd have a chance of being involved in an Ulster club senior final. Now that I will be, I'm really looking forward to the occasion. "There is no doubt that we will have to improve against Crossmaglen this Sunday. They are the benchmark for everybody else to follow and are one of the most consistent sides in the country. "Having said that, we have confidence in our own ability and we won't be far away if we play to our potential."
