Doire Colmcille club notes

Doire Colmcilles annual under-age presentation and awards day takes place this Saturday the 22nd November at 2pm in the Glen Community Centre. Doire Colmcille are pleased to announce that the special guests are Double Olympic Gold medallist, at this years Bejing games, Jason Smyth, his coach Stephen Maguire and Derry County Footballer Paul Murphy who shall be there to present the awards to the players! All parents and under-age players are invited to attend and refreshments shall be provided at the event.
Doire Colmcille would appeal to all club players, members, officials and supporters to show their support to Steelstown GAC on their drive to increase blood donors following the untimely passing of promising young footballer Brian Og McKeever. Many of our own club members and family have benefited from the receipt of blood transfusions and we would stress that giving blood regularly is essential. All members are asked to give Blood on Monday the 15th December at the Steelstown GAC club house on the Ballyarnett Road. All under 16s are asked to attend training on Saturday morning at 10.30 am. Contact Mark on 07841638558 for further details.
Training also continues on Saturday mornings for Under 14s, 12s, 10s and 8s outdoors at Saint Columbs College at 10.30 am. All players are asked to bring boots and all weather gear for appropriate outdoor conditions.
Training for Nursery age (under 6) children shall take place at 6pm to 7pm on Tuesday evenings indoors at Saint Columbs College. Contact Ronan on 07724306766 for further details.
Training for under 8s, 10s and 12s takes place indoors at St. Columbs College on Tuesday evenings from 7pm 'til 8.30pm.
You can download a membership form for the 2009 season from www.doirecolmcille.net and present to any coach at training sessions above. There are a number of excellent CPD courses and coaching qualifications now available in the 'City' and beyond.

The jackpot in this week's lotto was £2100 with the numbers drawn being 9, 11, 19 and 22. There was no jackpot winner with 2 people sharing the match 3 numbers prize. B Watkins, M Higgins c/o Westlake share £50. Next weeks prize draw increases to £2,200.
