So Carnaross doomed to junior for 2015 and Castletown once again bottle it at the business end of things. Pretty surprising, expected them to account for Ballinlough

Ballinlough are like a juggernaut at this stage. They have serious momentum built up and have a serious level of fitness. There defence is also water tight, almost donegal like. I can see even see Ratoath's forwards struggling against them. And Ratoath are by no means sure things to win today because Ballinabrackey will throw the kitchen sink at them.

Bracks by a point. 1-12 to 1-11. And Nicky Judge was sent off after only 20 minutes for Ballinabrackey.

Well deserved. We were lucky to even be in the semi final. Goes to show that even with a massive amount of talent on paper, if you don't have a decent management team you're doomed to fail. For most of the last 40 minutes Ballinabrackey looked like they had the extra man. And with only 5 minutes left in the game and 2 points down, there were still only 2 men in Ratoath's forward line. It was a complete and utter shambles on the line.

14 man bracks won 1-11 to 1-10 true grit and determination . Ratoath choked as usual. I am now taking out another mortgage on the house and putting it on the lough nothing surer whoever bates the daddies will win it

A pity really no disrespect to the Bracks, but would have liked to see Ratoath in the seniors next year. What did Judge do?

Why is it a pity Ziggy? Because they have a load of Meath players playing for them?

I would place serious doubts over those Ratoath players playing for Meath, same as I would have over the huge amount of O'Mahony's players that were on the Meath team in the mid 00s yet O'Mahonys didnt win much. How many Meath seniors/u21s on that Ratoath team? You would think that they would have a bit of character about them to bring that Ratoath team on to win what is a woefully poor in standard Intermediate championship.

If I was Mick O Dowd, I'd be asking myself serious questions about the application and mentality of the Ratoath players involved and I'd be wondering how im ever going to get over Dublin ( a team of mean like Flynn, MacAuley, Connolly and Brennan) using players who seem at best to be flaky.

Well well well, a Ballinabrackey Ballinlough final! Ratoath were disappointing but fair dues to Bracks they were immense. I'd say lutch has one sore head this morning!

I suppose Crinigan you would also be questioning the inclusion of the likes of Keogan and Meade on the Meath team seeing as Rathkenny were involved in a relegation playoff this year. After all, they have the same number of Meath Seniors in their ranks and the lower end of the Senior championship would be of a similar standard to the better teams in Intermediate. You wouldn't want to be hypocritical now would you?

Also, do you not see the ridiculousness of comparing the likes of Wallace and McMahon (both U21s) to Flynn, Connolly etc. who are all at their peak?

First of all congratulations to Ballinabracky , they thoroughly deserved it .Yuo could tell how much it meant to them at the final whistle, They worked so hard it made them look like they had the extra man for most of the game instead of the other way around. They hit hard and fair and over powered Ratoath. Wallys and Quigleys loss were felt yesterday
Its a hard lesson for our lads but Im sure it will stand to them in the years to come ,We still have a fair bit to go and the players know that
more than anyone. We will regroup and try focus now on the U21

Have to laugh at some of the lads on here slating Ratoath as bottlers and how are these lads on the Meath team, Our lads didnt pick themselves on the team
Thats up to mgmt and the lads are still young. The only question mark I would have is the lads on the line for Ratoath , Would Eamonn Barry have lost that match yesterday with a spare man for most of the game? I dont think he would

Yes i have a fairly sore head alright thevillage, great win for our small club, its our first time in the clubs history to make a intermediate final so it will be a great Day.

It will be a titanic tussle with Ballinlough and its a 50/50 game.May the best team win on the DAY.

Ratoath were very gracious in defeat yesterday and to see one or two lads having a go at their players and management on this site is very disrespectful to amateur players.

All i will say is it was a better game than what was on rte 2 yesterday.

Glenny i won that much money yesterday im gonna donate that 1,000 euro to the castletown supporters club ;)

To be fair Eamonn Wallace is Ratoaths best player and he has been out all year.I don't think Joey should have being on the county panel this year..
