Cortown to Croker Cycle a Resounding Success

November 19, 2018

Cortown players and supporters outside Croke Park during the charity cycle.

It doesn't happen all that often but I'm lost for words to describe the lads efforts on Sunday.

22 men embarked on the 120km Round Trip to Croke Park departing Cortown at 8.00am and returning at 4.00pm.

I remember Packie Henry during his night a few years ago describing Cortown as "the only club capable of rowing in during situations like this."

I suppose that's what the Gaa is all about, it's a big family and the family feeling has extended across the length and breadth of the county with so many people and clubs donating to our Movember effort. I can't thank everyone but you all know who you are!

The 22 cyclists arrive at Croke Park.

We would like to thank Croke Park for their unbelievable hospitality, the cyclists, helpers, the Keane family and everyone who supported the lads.

We now look forward to the charity challenge match on December 1st and night in Kells, more details to come later in the week on that one.
