Replying To Inaroundehouse:  "These lads are 18 years of age who were in probably there biggest game of their lives so far last Sunday.
They will improve for the experience as players.
It's not about winning at that age.
It's about developing as players and working hard to improve their weaknesses.
God know we won 4 u21 titles and where did it really get us at Senior level.
Some of those players on those winning teams are no better players today than they were then.
It should be about player development , and players developing their own individual skills to use later at Senior level."
Replying To fredflint: "Sean, in reply to doratheexplorer you said..,

"Would you go and take a walk fella the black card changed everything seems you like you enjoy it every time a Cavan team is beaten"

I consider that attacking the man. He only spoke the truth about the total lack of any tactics."

You will notice my reply to the post was removed I wonder why I must have really hit close to home when I said if you are who I think you are o I must have been spot on then BH

Galway defeated Mayo by 13, Roscommon by 7 and Sligo by 10. Cavan were comprehensively beaten by Derry in the Ulster Final... Cavan would be 6/1 to win

How can you honestly say Cavan will win? The stats don't lie. You can't bet on underage games Sean.... but I would stick to looking over the fence watching the trainings than betting

I suppose you call it being positive not negative. For example the seniors should have beaten Monaghan I believe they would have beaten Down but would have lost to Tyrone for Tyrone are a long way ahead of most in Ulster and the country. I will say this again KUPA: if Galway think Cavan are easy fodder well thats the rock they will perish on."

Replying To sceptical:  "You are very sad and bitter. Should they have entered a monastery for a week whilst beating themselves?"
Maybe not a monastery, but I'm pretty sure that serving alcohol to U18s is illegal in this County?

Just replying to your original post as people can judge for themselves why I called you out for being sad and bitter. You were referring to their enjoying themselves having lost and not about the fact that they were drinking. I refer you to your statement 'you'd think they had won it'.

I stand by my statement....just lost a Provincial Final...you need to prepare for a qualifier, but your in a pub, on top of shoulders, dancing and singing, underage drinking... as if you've won something? how is that a sad and bitter comment.

Were all of them drinking? Because if not all the panel were drinking you can accuse them of underage drinking , even do minor football is u 18 a lot of players are 18.

Are you sure 100% all of them were there having a good time??
Letting their hair down for one night 5 weeks before a qualifier will do them no harm once they behaved them self's. They all went back to their clubs to play with them and now are back in full swing training again with the county for the 5th of August.
I would be more concerned about player's going on the P*** after every match this would worry me a lot more I can tell you.
Anyway all back training with their management and fellow minors and please god they will put up a good performance that will take them to Croke Park.
