Cork's Eoin Cadogan is in danger of missing out on the Munster SFC opener against Limerick.

The defender missed the Rebel County's final two league games after suffering an ankle injury in March.

"There's still a question mark about Eoin," selector Ronan McCarthy explained to The Irish Examiner, "it's a bit like Pa Kelly's situation, it takes a while but things are progressing well.

"If his recovery programme goes to plan, he should be okay, hopefully we should have enough weeks between now and then."

McCarthy revealed that there is likely to be changes to the Cork panel ahead of their championship campaign.

"We'll definitely be making a few calls. We're waiting until after the All-Ireland U21 final at the weekend before finalising things.

"In a sense, though, the panel is always under review, nobody is guaranteed his place and by the same token, nobody is every definitely ruled out either."

Regular goalkeeper Alan Quirke, meanwhile, is likely to rejoin the set-up when he returns from army duty in the Lebanon later this month.
