Cork hurling selector Seanie McGrath was left 'horrified' by the news of Paudie O'Sullivan's broken leg injury in a club game last night.

Rebel County star O'Sullivan broke his fibula and tibia playing with Imokilly and McGrath told The Evening Echo: "We were all horrified when we heard the news last night and the injury is huge personal blow for Paudie who had an excellent league campaign for us.

"He will get all the support that he can from the management and players of Cork in the coming months and we all hope that he will be back with us as quickly as possible.

"All that matters today is Paudie's health and getting him on the road to recovery."

The 24 year old was due to undergo an operation on his leg this morning.
