Seanie satisfied

Cork selector Seanie McGrath
"A very satisfying performance" was how selector Seanie McGrath described Cork's Allianz Hurling League semi-final victory over Tipperary last Sunday.

McGrath, in particular, was delighted with the displays of Luke O'Farrell and Conor O'Sullivan, who hadn't featured in the campaign until now.

"Luke had a frustrating couple of months with a bit of injury, and he was kind of on the periphery while we were doing well in the preliminary rounds, but he was absolutely superb today. He set up scores, won a few frees and scored 1-2, and it was great to see him doing so well," McGrath said in the Corkman.

"Conor was brilliant too at corner back, and it's testimony to how well he played that Shane Bourke, who impressed against us the last day, was taken off.

"Overall, it was a very satisfying performance with Conor Lehane, Tom Kenny and Darren Sweetnam all making positive contributions when sprung from the bench, and even Cian McCarthy made a great block after he was introduced for the last few minutes."
