Cork's Patrick Horgan tries to get clear of Offaly's Dylan Hayden during the NHL Division 1 game at Pairc Ui Chaoimh
Cork attacker Pat Horgan hopes the Rebel attack will be fluent by the time the championship comes around.

The Glen Rovers clubman, who notched 0-9 in the Leesiders' opening-round Division One win over Offaly at Pairc Ui Chaoimh, reckons it's imperative that the forwards work on developing an understanding:

"It's definitely something we'll have to work on over the next few months, not just for league games, to build up that understanding with each other as we come closer to the championship game with Tipperary.

"We work hard in training with each other to get to know how each fella plays. We're together for the year and we have the time to work on that.

"We had a good pre-season, which is what you want at this level, and things are going very well in training.

"We're at sessions three times a week with the county and fellas are going away doing a bit themselves as well, so physically our preparation is pretty good."
