Charleville CBS, Ardscoil Ris and Templemore CBS kept alive their Harty Cup hopes following wins yesterday.

A hat-trick of goals from 14-year-old corner forward Pa O'Callaghan inspired Charleville CBS to an emphatic 5-14 to 2-3 victory over Colaiste An Spioraid Naoimh at Mourneabbey. The game was over as a contest at half-time with Charleville perched on a 2-10 to 0-1 lead.

Limerick's Ardscoil Ris got their campaign back on track with a 1-13 to 1-9 victory over former Croke Cup winners St. Colman's College, Fermoy in Mallow. Cathal McInerney, who won a Clare SHC medal with Cratloe last Sunday, was an inspirational figure for the winners.

Meanwhile, cousins Liam and John McGrath scored 0-10 between them as Templemore CBS secured their place in the knockout stages with a 0-17 to 0-9 defeat of Blackwater Community School at Thurles' Dr Morris Park.
