Cork full back Diarmuid O'Sullivan
Cork hurling star Diarmuid 'The Rock' O'Sullivan will not be lining out for Highfield rugby club when they open their AIB league campaign tomorrow (Saturday). Although the club say they are delighted with the progress the renowned Rebel County full-back has made to date, they feel it is probably too soon to throw the 30 year old into an AIB League match. O'Sullivan had played one game for Highfield minors before getting a run out with the juniors last weekend on the left wing. "Diarmuid is going very well," said Highfield coach David Oliver. "He's handling all the physical elements of the comfortably, his ball skills are excellent and he's strong on his feet. "We've been playing him on the wing not only because he has the speed and strength but because it's the easiest way to get him on the pitch. "However given Diarmuid's physique, down the track, I see him switching to the forwards, probably as a blindside flanker."
