Cork disciplinary chiefs probe brawl

City division GAA officials in Cork have launched an investigation into a mass brawl which broke out during the second half of a divisional football final last weekend. Players and mentors from both Crosshaven and Na Piarsaigh become involved in a melee during the Craobh Rua final at Ballinlough. The flashpoint took place in the 48th minute, after which played resumed and sides went on to play out a 0-12 each draw. Cork city board officials are awaiting the referee's report before deciding what course of action to take.
