Ahead of his county's All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Kerry, Cork football supremo Conor Counihan believes that mental preparation is becoming increasingly important in making the difference.
"There's a great camaraderie amongst managers across a whole range of sports, and we're all learning off one another.
"I look at lots of sports teams and individual sports people and try to learn from them. Just take someone like Padraig Harrington. You could certainly learn a lot from him about mental strength.
"And there's no doubt that working on the mental side of the game is crucial now. Every team now is physically fit and tactically aware, so the biggest variable and biggest potential advantage you could have is a mental one."
