Two clubs have been fined €3,000 each arising from a brawl which marred the end of the recent West Cork JFC 'A' final.

RTE reports that the Carbery divisional board handed down the fines to Kilmacabea and Tadhg Mac Cartaigh after carrying out an investigation into the violence which broke out in Drimoleague. Players, mentors and supporters were all said to have been involved in the brawl which also resulted in several suspensions being proposed.

Kilmacabea, who won the final, and Tadhg Mac Cartaigh have both indicated that they will be appealing their proposed sanctions to the Cork county board Hearing's Committee.
