Fitzgerald crosses ’Bridge as new boss

17 December 2004

Davy Fitzgerald
Clare goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald has taken over as the new manager of Sixmilebridge after he defeated incumbent Sean Stack at a dramatic club AGM.

It was something of a shock as Fitzgerald took over from the former county star and Clare selector Stack.

Fitzgerald proved to be the choice of floor as he outpolled Stack and will have the added task of managing his own club thrown into an already busy schedule. He will still continue to coach IT Limerick and will continue his playing career with both county and club.
