Hall of Fame accolade for McMahon
June 26, 2015Former Clare hurler Seanie McMahon has been inducted into the University of Limerick Sports Hall of Fame.
The two-time All-Ireland winner manned the centre back spot for Clare as they won the Munster and All-Ireland titles in 1995 and 1997.
A year later, McMahon helped his club St Joesph's to Munster and All-Ireland club glory also. His inter-county career lasted from 1994 to 2006.
McMahon is a past student of the university and he was part of a group of 16 to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
His former county team mate Brian Lohan is set to be inducted into the UL Hall of Fame later on this year.
