Browne admits there's plenty to work on

Clare selector Michael Browne feels that they have plenty to work on ahead of the start of the National League.

A Waterford Crystal Cup defeat to Cork was Clare's least competitive game before the start of the league and Browne admitted to the Clare Champion they had a few areas to focus on before next month.

"There is still time enough to the league," said Browne. "We didn't make any concessions during the week in relation to training.

"I am sure Cork didn't either. With just two weeks to the league, it's a bit of a concern but having said that, isn't it better to be finding out now than in two weeks' time?

"We still have loads of work to do, an awful lot of catching up to do. We will work very hard for the two weeks and see how it goes.

"We need to focus on our own play and give the best we can for a full 70 minutes and not for 35, as that never wins a game."
