Donal Moloney has hailed Clare's three-in-a-row Munster U21 champions as the most talented bunch of hurlers ever to emerge from the county.

Speaking after the Banner trounced Cork by 1-28 to 1-13 in front of 13,000 spectators at Cusack Park last night, the joint-manager expressed the hope that this exciting crop of youngsters would deliver further All-Ireland success at senior level after last year's breakthrough.

"For a county like Clare these are different times, these aren't normal type of situations or celebrations," he said.

"What we must do is make the most out of it. We need to ensure that these guys realise their full potential not just at under 21 level, but at senior in the years ahead. It is not often a final will go like that for you, but we knew coming into it that the guys were really in form."

The target for Clare now is to complete a three-in-a-row of All-Ireland U21 wins.

"Of course we would love to add another All-Ireland, we are focused on continuing on while we have the talent available to us," Moloney continued.

"We wanted to do achieve the three-in-a-row and I am delighted that we did. "It was an awesome first half, they are probably the best group of players we've ever had in our county."
