Minor footballers meet Kerry

May 03, 2013
Clare's minor footballers face a daunting task tomorrow when they meet Kerry for a place in the Munster championship semi-final at Austin Stack Park, Tralee (throw in 4pm).

Both teams are playing their third game of the championship, with Kerry having lost to Cork after a replay and Clare losing to Tipperary before bouncing back to beat Limerick in their first outing in the backdoor series.

The Banner gave a good account of themselves against Kerry in last year's Munster MFC clash at Cusack Park, when the margin down defeat was just four points, 3-4 to 0-17. And while most supporters would be happy with a similar performance, manager Michael Neylon and his players will be hell-bent on causing an upset.
