The Clare hurlers continued their build-up to the new season with two challenge matches last weekend.

On Saturday, they suffered a narrow 0-20 to 0-22 defeat to Limerick IT, who new Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald also manages. They bounced back the following day, however, to overcome University of Limerick on a 0-22 to 0-17 scoreline.
